We generate studies of the current and historical distribution, habitat use, density and estimate of the conservation status, ecology of Colombian sloth species; local knowledge and use of sloths by indigenous communities in the Amazon basin.

During 2008, in inter-institutional work with the Ministry of the Environment, we formulated and published the National Strategy for the prevention and control of illegal trafficking of Wild Sloth Species in Colombia.
