Xenarthra Rescue and Rehabilitation Center (CRRX)
CRRX is situated in woodland that belongs to the pre montane humid rainforest at the altitude of 1750 above sea level. Foundation center is surrounded by the river Medellin and two creeks with indigenous vegetation. Altogether we are connected with 1000 ha of the private and public natural reserves in the area of importance for the conservation of birds (AICA).
The Center has been created as a need to provide immediate attention and rehabilitation for the conservation of Xenarthra species that result as a product of illegal traffic or accidents and thus contribute to the conservation of wildlife. The Center develops activities for the rescue, care, rehabilitation and release of Xenarthra (sloths, anthill and armadillos). We have specially designed spaces to rehabilitate and care for these animals.
